Cyprus Airways has become one of the newest airlines to fly the Airbus A220.
With two A220-300 models joining the fleet this summer and more on order, the type will soon become the mainstay of the airline’s operations.
Cyprus Airways is the latest incarnation of the well known airline operating from the island. The original airline flew from 1947-2015.
Like the original, today’s Cyprus Airways links the island’s main airports of Larnaca and Paphos on the southern, Greek side, with airports across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
As well as the A220s, Cyprus Airways operates the larger A320-200.
Where do Cyprus Airways A220s fly?
From the end of October 2023, the winter timetable will see the Cyprus Airways A220 flying on the following routes:
- Larnaca – Athens 2 daily
- Larnaca – Basel/Mulhouse 29OCT23
- Larnaca – Beirut 1 daily
- Larnaca – Cairo 2 weekly
- Larnaca – Dubai 2 weekly
- Larnaca – Milan Malpensa 2 weekly
- Larnaca – Paris CDG 3 wekly
- Larnaca – Rome Fiumicino 2 weekly
- Larnaca – Tel Aviv 1 daily
- Larnaca – Yerevan 3 weekly
- Larnaca – Zurich 2 weekly
Cyprus Airways A220 Fleet
At the time of writing Cyprus Airways has two Airbus A220-300 aircraft in its fleet. They are:
- 5B-DEA
- 5B-DEB
The airline has an additional 8 aircraft on order.
