Summary
The war in Ukraine has caused a cessation of all commercial flying and airline flights within the country’s airspace. As an active war zone, it is simply too unsafe to Cindys t flights with civilians at the moment, and all but the most essential travel to and from Ukraine is banned.
As a result the many different airlines and aircraft operators of Ukraine have found their fleets either trapped at the country’s airports, or forced into exile abroad.
In some cases flying has been able to continue elsewhere in charter contracts.
The national airline of Ukraine is Ukraine International. Up until the start of hostilities it had a fleet of modern airliners linking cities like Kyiv and Lviv with destinations all around Europe and further afield.
So what has happened to its fleet now?
Sadly all of Ukraine International’s active fleet at the time hostilities started were stranded within Ukraine and have not been moved since.
