Thomas Cook Airlines yesterday announced a new route to Seattle Tacoma from Manchester, UK, starting in May 2018.
Enthusiasts in the north of England should be thinking strategically about this and planning a visit to the hallowed Boeing production sites, as well as the magnificent Museum of Flight where everything great that flew is preserved in the surroundings of the historic Boeing Field.
Tickets are now on sale with the first flight to Seattle taking off on 27th May. This new destination follows the recent introduction of San Francisco (SFO) and the year-round service to New York (JFK) from Manchester. With prices to the USA from £399 return. See https://www.thomascookairlines.com/
The new Thomas Cook Airlines route to Seattle operates twice-weekly using Airbus A330-200 equipment.
Collette Roche, Interim Managing Director at Manchester Airport, said: “To secure a direct route to Seattle is further testament to the role Manchester Airport plays in the North and UK as a whole. We now offer more than a dozen direct destinations to the USA, meaning we have grown the number of seats on sale to US destinations at a greater rate than any other UK airport this year.

Condor, the German sister airline of Thomas Cook, actually launched its own service to Seattle from Munich on Boeing 767-300 equipment in June. It complements the existing Condor service from Frankfurt to Seattle Tacoma.
