A new airline named BermudAir based in Bermuda is about to launch flying, having received its first aircraft.
The all-Business Class airline hopes to capture the high-end market to the Atlantic island, linking with cities in the United States and Canada.
BermudAir’s first aircraft was recently delivered. It is an Embraer 175 with registration VQ-BLU (cn 17000344), previously with Flybe.
The aircraft’s interior features 88 seats, but the airline will only be selling 44 of them to ensure a spacious setting for passengers. However, the airline plans to refit the cabin with 30 suites in a 1-1 configuration to give more privacy and comfort.
Known as Aisle Class, it “introduces a new era of premium air travel, providing passengers with an unparalleled experience that goes beyond traditional cabin layouts.”
Where Will BermudAir Fly?
The airline plans to launch flights to three destinations from 31 August.
- Bermuda – Boston Logan, 6x weekly from 31 August
- Bermuda – Westchester County, 6x weekly from 31 August
- Bermuda – Fort Lauderdale Hollywood, 6x weekly from 22 September.
Frequencies will increase over the winter period as an additional aircraft enters service.
