Naples Municipal Airport in Florida has announced a new observation deck for people to watch aircraft movements.
According to naplesnews.com, “the Naples Airport Authority approved the building of an observation deck to provide the public with a good vantage point for watching aircraft at Naples airport.” What a refreshing sentence to hear! I hope more airports across America will follow suit as there’s clearly a demand, and most people watching aircraft aren’t terrorists, believe it or not!
The 600 sq ft area is situated alongside the southern end of runway 23. It has cost $148,580, and is of a wooden design with chairs, sun shades, and childrens play area. It is expected to be completed later this year.
