New Indian carrier Fly91 is to launch commercial operations next week, serving domestic routes.
Established to serve smaller markets within the ever expanding Indian aviation space, Fly91 will serve so-called Tier 2 and Tier 3 airports from its hub at Goa.
Having taken delivery of its first aircraft, Fly91 announced yesterday that it would commence flights on four routes starting 18 March. It received its Air Operator’s Certificate on 6 March.
About Fly91
Named after the Indian telephone country code of +9, Fly91 hopes to use this as inspiration to connect Indians from communities across the country.
It states on its website: “Just as the code “+91” unifies India through seamless communication, FLY91 will strive to empower every Indian to connect with a larger community and chase their dreams.”
Founded by a former Kingfisher Airlines executive and other veterans, Fly91 has significant funding to commence operations and already has 200 staff. It hopes to grow to six aircraft by the autumn, rising to 40 in total.
Fly91 is the first airline to inaugurate service from the new Goa Manohar International Airport.

Fly91’s livery features a mostly white fuselage with blue and yellow titles.
The tail is blue with a yellow band around the fuselage.

Fly91 Initial Routes
The initial routes to be served by Fly91 are:
- Goa – Bangalore – Sindhurdurg – Banglaore – Goa (3x weekly)
- Goa – Hyderabad – Sindhurdurg – Hyderabad – Goa (2x weekly)
