Airbus has shared a video and some pictures of the first Air France A220 aircraft being rolled out of the factory.
The aircraft, an A220-300 with test registration C-FPBQ (cn 55134), has been built at the Montreal Mirabel factory in Canada, and is the first of 60 the airline has on order. It will become F-HZUA once delivered.
Deliveries are expected from September, being used to replace the A318 and older A319 models in the fleet. The A220s will be used on European routes from Paris.
Air France says: “In addition to the pilots and flight attendants, the entire company is preparing to welcome the Airbus A220. From maintenance to station staff, all operational sectors are getting ready for the arrival of this latest-generation aircraft.”
The Air France Airbus A220 will be able to welcome 148 passengers in a 3-2 cabin configuration. Each seat will be equipped with type A and type C USB ports and all passengers will enjoy Wi-Fi access from their personal devices.
