If you’re reaching that time in life where you’re considering moving to a retirement home, a new facility near London Heathrow is emerging which might just be up your street.
Directly on the flight path from Heathrow and just a mile behind Windsor Castle stands the brand new Sky Lounge at Castle View Windsor retirement village. The new one, two and three bedroom development is still under construction but will open this Autumn. All apartments have generous balconies but the best vantage point will be the communal roof terrace. This provides amazing views towards Legoland and Windsor Castle and some of the most unique sights of every plane coming into, or out of Heathrow.
The roof terrace will provide a Sky Lounge bar and is completely unobstructed, so spotters will be able to watch the aircraft making their descent or ascent from miles around. Binoculars will probably be required to see their registration marks, but a good camera will ensure some great action shots. With two royal weddings this year, Castle View is also well positioned for front row seats of possibly some very special fly pasts.
Robin Hughes, Managing Director, Castle Retirement Living says: “On a clear day from the Sky Lounge the views of approaching aircraft are already stunning. For those who may have retired from Heathrow, or worked for an airline but fancy keeping an eye on aircraft, the Castle View Sky Lounge will be the place to be. Plane spotters over the age of 55 will find no better vantage point from their home. We’re also looking into perhaps having some special open days for local groups to enjoy the planes too.”
The pictures here give an indication of how Castle View will look once complete, but just imagine large jets also in the view! If you’re interested, get your name down before it’s too late!
Castle View will open in October 2018. For more information about reserving an apartment, please call 01753 378127, or visit www.castleviewwindsor.co.uk
