El Al has seemingly introduced the first aircraft wearing an updated version of its livery.
The aircraft, Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner 4X-EDN, is a brand new aircraft which is about to be delivered to the airline.
It was spotted flying in to Kelly Field in San Antonio, TX, for maintenance.
The aircraft wears a sightly darker version of the airline’s blue. The blue also fills much more of the tail, and follows down around the underside of the rear fuselage.
The gold stripes which accompanied the blue on the previous livery also seem to have disappeared.
Finally, the El Al titles in English and Hebrew are also now in blue, and much more bold.

Beautiful airplane! Really like the retro 787 livery as well! Will be interested to see the name of city chosen for new jet.
Yawn…it was hardly worth the effort.
There were never gold stripes other than on 4X-EDM, Yerushalayim shel Zahav (Jerusalem of Gold). The standard livery is silver
I don’t like it. The color is too dark and somber and the silver used to set off the blue nicely. The tail previously had two stripes like the national flag and now it doesn’t. I do like that the name is larger, but that’s the only improvement.
