Croatia Airlines has taken delivery of its first Airbus A220 aircraft in Montreal.

The aircraft is also the first to wear the carrier’s new livery.

This is the first aircraft delivered to the airline from the committed 13 A220-300 and two A220-100. The A220 will bring a significant technological step forward for the airline, introducing greater efficiency with 25% lower fuel burn and CO2 emissions per seat compared to previous generation aircraft.

This first aircraft is 9A-CAE (msn 55290), an A220-371 which was built in Canada and, following the hand-over, made its way to its new home base at Zagreb via a stop in Copenhagen. Spotters were out to capture the new aircraft.

The new Croatia Airlines livery features a modified tail scheme and titles on the fuselage, but is otherwise similar to the previous scheme worn by the carrier’s other aircraft.

Additional deliveries of A220-300 and the smaller -100 variants will continue over coming months.
