For you spotters, loggers and aircraft photographers out there, here are the new airliners to look out for in March 2017.

 

Airbus A350-1000 Prototype #3

Airbus unveiled the stretched variant of the A350-1000’s third test aircraft, F-WLXV, which undertook its first flight on 7th February at Toulouse.

One of the best looking aircraft in a long time. Air Caraibes became the latest A35o operator with its first aircraft, F-HHAV, delivered on 28th February.

Austrian Airlines’ First airberlin A320

The first airberlin Airbus A320 to operate for Austrian Airlines in full colours entered service on 7th March. Registration D-ABZA is the first of four which will join the airline.

 

Boeing 737 MAX 9 Prototype

Boeing rolled out its stretched 737 MAX 9 model, with N7379E appearing at a ceremony in Seattle.

This new special livery to promote Tomorrowland music festival has been applied to Brussels Airlines’ Airbus A320 OO-SNF.

Indonesian operator Citilink took delivery of its first Airbus A320neo on 24th February, registration PK-GTA.

Tunisian cargo operator Express Air Cargo commenced operations with Boeing 737-300F TS-ICA this month.

 

Oman Air’s First 787-9

Oman Air 787-9

Oman Air has been flying Boeing 787-8s for a while, but has now taken delivery of its first -9 model, A4O-SC. It’s first flight, to Bangkok, took place on 1st March.

 

Shandong Airlines 100th 737

To celebrate its 100th Boeing 737, Shandong Airlines has painted special markings on B-7669, a 737-800.

 

SriLankan’s First A320neo

Another new Airbus A320neo operator is SriLankan, which took delivery of 4R-ANA on 28th February.
