airBaltic is to launch a new base in Tampere, Finland – its fourth hub.
The growing airline will serve six new routes from the airport, plus its existing route to home base Riga.
Starting from May 2022, airBaltic will perform direct flights from Tampere to:
- Oslo (Norway)
- Copenhagen (Denmark)
- Frankfurt (Germany)
- Munich (Germany)
- Malaga (Spain)
- Rhodes (Greece)
- Riga (Latvia)
All routes will be operated with Airbus A220-300 aircraft.
Martin Gauss, Chief Executive Officer of airBaltic: “We have been performing direct flights from Tampere to Riga for almost five years now. Our decision to open a new base in Tampere shows our strong commitment to this city, and will offer more convenient and affordable travel options for many Finnish passengers.”
airBaltic already has operational bases at Riga, Tallinn and Vilnius.
