Air France today became the latest operator of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner when F-HRBA landed at Paris Charles de Gaulle.
The weather did not quite play ball and the brand new Air France Dreamliner had to make an automatic landing in thick fog, which wasn’t great for the waiting cameras!
You may have heard that Air France plans to use its new Dreamliners on the short 1-hour flight between Paris CDG and London Heathrow from 6 February as part of its crew familiarisation flying. It is offering some amazingly low fares of only £69 on this route, so you have no excuse for not trying it out if you’re in France or the UK.
Today it appeared that Air France has extended this service, with the 787 operating on the route until the end of October 2017 (it was originally planned to end in March).
The schedule is:
AF1680 CDG0730 – 0750LHR 789 x3
AF1681 LHR0945 – 1205CDG 789 x3
The Air France-KLM Group has ordered a total of 18 787-9s and seven 787-10s, with an additional 12 787-9s leased through AerCap. The arrival of Air France’s first 787-9 in Paris today is part of the carrier’s continued renewal of its long-haul fleet.
Other Air France Dreamliner routes announced so far from Paris CDG include Montreal and Cairo.
