How Long Will Delta Fly the 717?

While Delta still has a large active fleet of Boeing 717s, the type is not thought to be in imminent danger of retirement for at least two years.

The airline is taking deliveries of new Airbus A220 and A321 aircraft which are taking over many regional services, and many are also operated by Delta Connection.

Delta has also retired around 20 of its 717s so far.

However, no firm date on a final retirement has been announced yet.
