Lufthansa has revealed a special livery on one of its Airbus A321 aircraft to support a vision for a better world.
The scheme, entitled “Helping Hands”, depicts a range of colourful handprints along the underside of the entire fuselage length, with special titles in place of the usual Lufthansa title.
For spotters, the aircraft that has been painted is D-AIEP (track it here).
This new livery is in place to mark Lufthansa Group’s 25th years supporting the help alliance.
“Every single handprint on this plane stands for solidarity in action and for the belief that together we can make the world a better place,” says Vivian Spohr, patroness of help alliance. “I would like to thank all our supporters for making this anniversary project possible. For 25 years, help alliance has been creating opportunities for children and young people who would otherwise often have no prospects. As patroness, it is a matter close to my heart to help ensure that we can continue to give hope and a future to many young people in the future.”
The 297 handprints on the A321neo are part of a fundraising campaign in which supporters symbolically leave their handprints on the aircraft.
The Airbus A321neo with the lettering “help alliance” is the second ambassador of the Lufthansa Group’s aid organization: an aircraft with a special ‘Helping Hands’ livery has been in service with the Swiss airline Edelweiss since 2022.
