Here’s what’s new in our skies this month, May 2021:
Air Cairo neo
Egypt’s Air Cairo joins the Airbus A320neo club with its first example delivered this month, registered SU-BUK.
Air Manas A220
A new Airbus A220 operator this month is Air Manas of Kyrgyzstan. This is the first example in the CIS, and is based at Bishkek. The aircraft has the registration EX-22002.
Alaska UNCF Livery
Alaska Airlines has unveiled a new special livery aircraft. Boeing 737-900ER N492AS has been painted to support UNCF, the largest scholarship provider for students of color and an organization dedicated to enabling under-represented students to become highly-qualified college graduates.
Argentine Air Force 737NG
The Argentine Air Force has added its first Boeing 737-700NG aircraft. The aircraft is T-99, and the first new transport aircraft to be added to the fleet since 2006.
Belavia MAX
Belarussian national carrier Belavia has added its first Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft. It is EW-528PA.
Cally Air’s First Aircraft
Nigerian start-up airline Cally Air has received its first aircraft. It is Boeing 737-300 5N-BYR.
Ethiopian 737 Freighter
Ethiopian Airlines has added its first Boeing 737-800 converted freighter. It is ET-AYL and previously flew for Pegasus Airlines.
Flyr First Aircraft Painted
New Norwegian airline Flyr has had its first aircraft painted. Boeing 737-800 LN-FGB was still wearing Pegasus Airlines’ registration TC-CPJ in this shot.
JetBlue A321LR
Ahead of starting transatlantic flights, JetBlue has added its first Airbus A321LR N4022J.
GLOBALX A321
New carrier GLOBALX (Global Crossing Airlines) has received Airbus A321 N277GX in its smart livery. It joins an A320.
Singapore Airlines MAX
As Singapore Airlines merges Silk Air fully, its first Boeing 737 MAX 8 painted in the Singapore livery has entered service. It is 9V-MBA.
Super Air Jet
A new Indonesian carrier is starting up. Its first aircraft is Airbus A320 PK-SAJ.
TUIfly Hotels Scheme
TUIfly has added a logojet representing Blue Hotels. Boeing 737-800 D-ABKM is the aircraft.
World2Fly A350
Ahead of its launch, World2Fly’s first Airbus A350 has been painted.
