Summary
Cleveland Hopkins Airport is the largest and busiest in Ohio. It is a minor hub for both Frontier Airlines and United Airlines, however all main US carriers fly in daily, along with international flights from Canada and Iceland.
There are three runways, and the passenger terminal has four concourses (although one is currently mothballed). ExpressJet has a regional jet maintenance hangar next to the terminal parking lots.
FedEx and UPS have cargo facilities on the south side of the airport.

Cleveland Spotting Locations
1 Terminal Parking Garage
Although the views are a little distant, you can generally see most aircraft movements and some aircraft at gates. The airport prefers spotters to stay away from the edges, and sometimes moves you on.
2 100th Bomb Group
This is a restaurant on Brookpark Rd to the north of the airport and is accepted as the best place to view and photograph. You have a view over most of the airfield and can photograph arrivals on runways 24L/R, along with movements on 10/28. It has parking and some replica aircraft outside. It’s best to buy food and drink if you use it. See www.100thbgrestaurant.com
3 Aerospace Parkway
A road running along the south-western perimeter of the airport is good for arrival shots on runways 06L/R. You may find it hard to park nearby, so might need to walk to the best spot.
Spotting Hotel
Sheraton Cleveland Airport Hotel
5300 Riverside Dr, Cleveland, OH 44135 | +1 216 267 1500 | www.sheratonclevelandairport.com
This hotel is centrally located among the terminal complex, alongside the car parks. If you can get a room facing the terminal on one of the top floors you have a view of one of the terminal concourses and gates. Aircraft approaching from the north east are also briefly visible.

When I visited here in 2000 there was a designated viewing deck which had great views.
You could spot inside and outside if my memory is correct.
Is this no longer here ?
Hi Darren. Unfortunately it succumbed to post 9/11 security increases and is now closed.
This CLE blog should be updated as WOW Air (gone) and Icelandair no longer services CLE. I miss working at this airport though. Always something interesting flying in.
100th Bomber Group closed due to COVID. No good place to spot without paying (parking deck) or getting harassed by security on aerospace pkwy. 🙁
Thanks for the update Matt!
