One of the UK’s oldest air carriers, Loganair has recently started out as an independent airline again following many years operating as a franchise carrier for British Airways and then Flybe.
From September 2017 we’ve seen Loganair, which is based in Scotland, unveil a new tartan-themed livery to its fleet and open up new routes and code-share agreements.
Â
Two particularly special routes are the world’s only scheduled flight to land on a beach, between Glasgow and Barra, and also the world’s shortest commercial flight between Westray and Papa Westray in the Orkney Islands.
As well as Scottish routes, Loganair flies to other destinations across the UK and to Ireland and Norway. It also operates dedicated cargo services with freighter aircraft.
