Norwegian has been building up to announcing transatlantic flights from UK regional airports using its new Boeing 737 MAX aircraft for a while.
Now, the airline has announced details of the routes it intends to fly, bringing potentially cheap ways of flying between the UK, Ireland and America.
The routes announced are:
- Belfast International – Newburgh Stewart, NY, 3x weekly from 1 July 2017
- Belfast International – Providence, RI, 2x weekly from 2 July 2017
- Cork – Providence, RI, 3x weekly from 1 July 2017
- Dublin – Newburgh Stewart, NY, 1x daily from 1 July 2017
- Dublin – Providence, RI, 5x weekly from 2 July 2017
- Edinburgh – Hartford, CT, 3x weekly from 17 July 2017
- Edinburgh – Newburgh Stewart, NY, 1x daily from 15 June 2017
- Edinburgh – Providence, RI, 4x weekly from 16 June 2017
- Shannon – Newburgh Stewart, NY, 2x weekly from 1 July 2017
- Shannon – Providence, RI, 2x weekly from 2 July 2017

All flights will be operated by new Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, for which Norwegian is the launch customer.
