A Frankfurt Airport spotting area has re-opened, giving spotters and photographers a grandstand view of the new northern runway at the German airport.
The platform is raised above fence level so that unobstructed photographs can be taken of aircraft on runway 07L/25R and its parallel taxiway.
The airport states that there is plenty of parking alongside the spotting platform.

You can reach it by following Airportring west from Terminal 1, and then turning right onto Okrifteler Strasse. The viewing area is on your right.
Views of other parts of Frankfurt Airport are not really possible, but you can see some aircraft departing other runways at a distance.
